The Cavemore is made from high quality leather. The part behind the ears and the noseband are lightly padded with soft material. Each piece of leather on the Cavemore is customizable, so we can make it to fit any head, big or small. It is important to note that the Cavemore is made from a good, supple leather quality so that it feels light and comfortable around your horse's head. Mobility around the sensitive head is not compromised.
The round shanks are fixed shanks and do NOT move independently, so they do NOT come into contact with the horse's skin. You should ride your horse with one hand; riding with two hands has no effect. The aim is to create a more supple neck base so that the horse develops the correct muscles and has a better neck posture. The Cavemore is not designed to improve control.
These shanks are similar to a curb or candare.
Please note that it is NOT possible to tie up your horse with this bridle. It is not a stable halter, it is a riding and ground work halter. It is not designed to withstand certain forces, such as a horse stepping on the rope or a horse standing tethered and starting to pull. If this happens, the noseband and/or rear noseband will break. They are not strong enough or designed for this. To tie your horse, we recommend a pasture halter.
